Carbide inserts CCGT09T304-AL for CNC machines are made from a high-quality metal alloy that is extremely hard, durable, and resistant to wear. Carbide inserts are used to create precision-engineered holes in metal parts. The hardness of carbide allows it to be used in high-speed machining applications while still being able to withstand the heat generated by friction.

Turning Insert Shapes
Indexable turning inserts are manufactured in a variety of shapes, sizes and thicknesses, with straight holes, with countersunk holes, without holes, with chipbreakers on one side, with chipbreakers on two sides or without chipbreakers. The selection of the appropriate turning toolholder geometry, accompanied by the correct insert shape and chipbreaker geometry, will ultimately have a significant impact on the productivity and tool life of a specific turning operation.

The AL Geometry is the universal solution for customers seeking lower cutting forces, extended tool life, and greater tooling productivity when machining a variety of non-ferrous workpiece materials, particularly aluminum.  A highly polished rake face improves chip flow, resulting in shorter set up times due to less manual retrieval of chips following each cut. The periphery ground insert also features a sharper cutting edge to increase overall tooling precision and reduce cutting forces.
